Chevelle, Illinois’ sensational post grunge and nu metal artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Marquee Theater!
Chevelle was formed in 1995 in Grayslake (Illinois) by brothers Pete and Sam Loeffler and they were joined by their youngest brother (Joe) shortly thereafter. They’re all self taught musicians and decided to name the band based on their passion for fast cars (the Chevrolet Chevelle was also their father's favorite car). The band’s been through a few line up changes over the years and it currently consists of Pete (guitars and vocals), Sam (drums), and Dean Bernardini (bass guitar, live backing vocals). Their musical style spans many genres such as post grunge, hard rock, alternative metal, and nu metal and they cite Helmet, Tool, and the Cure as their main influences. They released their debut studio album (Point #1) in 1999 and a year later, it won a Gospel Music Association (GMA) Dove Award for Hard Music Album. Their next album (Wonder What's Next) came out in 2002, hit #14 on the US Billboard 200 chart, and was certified Platinum in the US. They went on to have a stellar career with 8 studio albums, 2 live albums, 17 singles, 15 music videos, and they’ve sold over 4 million records in the US.
Don’t miss your chance to see these artists add a unique touch to post grunge, hard rock, alternative metal, and nu metal
