Danzig, New Jersey’s sensational heavy metal artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Marquee Theater!
Danzig was formed in Lod (New Jersey) in 1987 by Glenn Danzig (vocals), John Christ (guitar), Eerie Von (bass), and Chuck Biscuits (drums). The band’s been through many line up changes since then and it currently consists of Glenn (lead vocals, rhythm guitar, keyboards, and songwriting), Tommy Victor (lead guitar), Joey Castillo (drums and percussion), and Steve Zing (bass guitar and backing vocals). Over the years, their musical style has spanned many genres such as hard rock (a loosely defined subgenre of rock music featuring heavy use of aggressive vocals, distorted electric guitars, bass guitar, drums, and often accompanied with pianos and keyboards), heavy metal (a subgenre of rock that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s and features a thick, massive sound, characterized by highly amplified distortion, extended guitar solos, emphatic beats, and overall loudness), blues rock (a fusion genre combining elements of blues and rock, characterized by bluesy improvisation, the twelve bar blues, extended boogie jams typically focused on the electric guitar player, and often a heavier, riff oriented sound), and gothic metal (a fusion genre that combines the heaviness of heavy metal with the dark atmospheres of gothic rock). They’ve had a stellar career with 11 studio albums, 1 live album, 1 compilation album, 2 extended plays, and 24 singles.
Don't miss your chance to see these artists add a unique touch to heavy metal music!
