Molotov, Mexico's sensational rock en Español and alternative metal artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Marquee Theater!
Molotov was formed in Mexico City in 1995 by guitarist Ismael "Tito" Fuentes de Garay and bassist Miguel Ángel "Miky" Huidobro Preciado. The band's been through many line up changes since then and it currently consists of Tito (electric guitar and vocals), Miky (bass guitar, drums, and vocals), Juan Francisco "Paco" Ayala Gonzalez (bass guitar, guitar, and vocals), and Randall "Randy, El Gringo Loco" Ebright (drums, guitar, bass, and vocals). Their musical style is best described as a blend of rock en Español (a term used widely in the English-speaking world to refer any kind of rock music featuring Spanish vocals), alternative metal (a genre that infuses heavy metal with influences from alternative rock and other genres not normally associated with metal), rap metal (a subgenre of rap rock and alternative metal that combines hip hop with heavy metal, usually consisting of heavy metal guitar riffs, funk metal elements, rapped vocals, and sometimes turntables), and nu metal (a form of alternative metal that combines elements of heavy metal music with elements of other music genres such as hip hop, alternative rock, funk, and grunge). They've had a stellar career with 5 studio albums, 1 remix album, 1 compilation album, and 1 live album.
