Tiger Army, California’s sensational psychobilly artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Marquee Theater!
Tiger Army was formed in Berkeley in 1996 by vocalist and guitarist Nick 13 along with bassist Joel Day and drummer Adam Carson. The band’s been through many line up changes since then and it currently consists of Nick 13 (guitars and lead vocals), Djordje Stijepovic (upright bass and backing vocals), and Mike Fasano (drums and percussion). While their musical style can be broadly classified as alternative rock, it’s best described as a blend of psychobilly (a fusion genre of rock music that mixes elements of punk rock, rock and roll, rockabilly, and rhythm and blues), punk rock (a rock music genre - developed in the early to mid-1970s in the United States – that typically uses short or fast paced songs, with hard edged melodies and singing styles, stripped-down instrumentation, and often political, anti establishment lyrics), and post punk (a broad type of rock music that emerged from the punk movement of the 1970s, in which artists departed from the traditional garage rock template of punk to pursue a variety of avant garde sensibilities). They’ve had a stellar career with 3 extended plays, 5 studio albums, and their music has been featured on Punk Fiction, Nightmare Revisited, and many other compilation albums.
Don't miss your chance to see these artists add a unique touch to psychobilly, punk rock, and post punk music!
